Job Description:
Job Description As a Senior Project Manager with Jtec HCM, you will be directly responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of capital construction and infrastructure projects across a portfolio of healthcare facilities in Northern California. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This is a hybrid position, requiring both remote work and regular on-site presence. This role is expected to conduct weekly site visits to oversee project progress, ensure quality control, and collaborate with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
  • Manage multiple concurrent healthcare construction and renovation projects ranging from small upgrades to large-scale capital initiatives.
  • Ensure projects align with organizational strategic goals and operational needs. Financial Management
  • Develop and manage capital budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost controls are in place.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid cost overruns. Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clinical leadership, operations, IT, and facilities teams.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external partners such as architects, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to executive leadership. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare construction regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., OSHPD/HCAI, Title 24, local jurisdiction requirements).
  • Maintain adherence to infection control guidelines, patient safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee permitting, inspections, and approvals. Construction & Site Oversight
  • Conduct weekly site visits across Northern California to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Address on-site issues promptly and ensure effective coordination across project teams.
  • Oversee all aspects of project development and execution, including budget management, schedule adherence, and quality control.
  • Review, negotiate, and administer contracts / purchase orders with consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor project managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing environment focused on accountability and results.
  • Provide support to the project team by coordinating meetings, preparing presentations, and assisting with project-related tasks.
  • Provide performance feedback and support professional development.
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in capital project management, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities.
  • 5+ years of recent experience with
HCAI 1 / OSHPD 1
healthcare construction projects
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare construction regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
  • Certifications with CMAA, PMI or LEED
  • AIA or PE license Location / Attendance - Northern California (Hybrid)
  • Hybrid work model with a combination of remote work and on-site presence.
  • Weekly travel required across Northern California project locations which includes sites in Napa, Petaluma, Sonoma, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, and Eureka
  • Occasional off-hours work may be required to support critical project milestones or healthcare operations.
