Dallas, TX Job Summary:
The overall purpose of the Regional Director of Clinical Services Hospice position is to assess and ensure the highest-quality end-of-life care for hospice patients through regular on-site and remote reviews of hospice clinical systems. This role supports assigned hospice programs in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal hospice regulations and Conditions of Participation, while promoting excellence in patient-centered, interdisciplinary care.
Qualifications:
Active, Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum of 5 years of clinical management or leadership experience, preferably in Hospice or Palliative Care Regional or multi-site leadership experience strongly preferred In-depth knowledge of CMS Hospice Conditions of Participation and regulatory requirements Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills Proven ability to analyze clinical data, identify trends, and implement corrective action plans Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical reporting systems Ability to travel regularly
Essential Functions:
Provide regional clinical leadership and oversight for hospice programs across assigned markets Ensure ongoing compliance with CMS Hospice Conditions of Participation, state, and federal regulations Implement, monitor, and continuously improve hospice clinical policies, procedures, and care delivery systems Support and guide Hospice Directors of Nursing, Clinical Supervisors, Case Managers, and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) members Conduct regular on-site and remote clinical reviews, audits, and performance assessments Partner with the Regional Director of Operations to prioritize site visits and address clinical risk areas Support hospice quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives Assist with recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and development of hospice clinical leadership Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and effective care planning through IDT processes Promote patient safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and staff safety compliance Collaborate with operations, finance, and marketing teams to support census growth while maintaining regulatory compliance Participate in corporate clinical, quality, compliance, and leadership committees Provide interim clinical leadership or consultative support to additional regions as assigned Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned We are an Equal opportunity employer; We offer an excellent benefit plan to include 401K with match, CEU reimbursement, vacation, sick, holidays, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance Plans as well as a Highly competitive compensation package. #hcbsleadership
