Respite Program Supervisor

Our Services for People with Disabilities team is searching for a dedicated, energetic part-time 30+ Respite Program Supervisor in the Northeastern Iowa area. This position could be based out of the Waterloo or Dubuque office for the right candidate. Supervisor will provide oversight to respite providers serving Black Hawk, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Linn and surrounding counties. We are looking for someone with good communication, interpersonal, computer and organizational skills and someone who is self motivated. This position is primarily 1st shift, but may occasionally require a meeting in the evening. Some traveling required. Very supportive and fun team to work with. What You'll Do The purpose of respite care is to give the parent or primary caregiver a break from the daily responsibilities of caring for a child or adult with a disability. The Program Supervisor oversees our Respite Care services, and is responsible for delivering the services and supervision of Respite staff. This position will coordinate with providers, case managers and families/clients. Will review and process referrals, match clients with providers, monitor client units, participate in client annual meetings/assessments, network and market the program, do home surveys with providers, supervise providers and partake in the hiring process for new providers. Most travel is within the local area with very random travel required to other parts of the state. Required:

High School Diploma or GED and five years of experience in human services, education or human services related field with 2 years being in a leadership position OR Associates Degree and three years of related experience; with at least one year in a leadership role OR Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field and one year of related experience

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field and one year of related experience. Additionally, years of related experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
