Duties Lead comprehensive revenue recovery strategies tailored specifically for rural hospital settings, ensuring maximum collection of owed funds. Collaborate closely with hospital administration, billing teams, and external partners to identify revenue gaps and develop targeted action plans. Oversee the review and analysis of billing, coding, and reimbursement processes to identify opportunities for improvement and compliance. Manage the resolution of complex accounts receivable issues by coordinating appeals, negotiations, and follow-up procedures. Implement best practices for documentation, reporting, and tracking recovery efforts to maintain transparency and accountability. Provide training and mentorship to hospital staff on revenue cycle management principles and recovery techniques. Stay current with healthcare regulations, payer policies, and industry trends affecting revenue recovery in rural healthcare environments. Requirements Proven experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, billing, or collections within a hospital or similar healthcare setting. Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance reimbursements, and relevant regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop actionable insights. Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with hospital teams, insurers, and external agencies. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing cross-functional teams or projects. Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies or procedures within healthcare reimbursement landscapes.
