Title:
Supervisor Clinical Documentation Integrity•
Regional Facility:
Hybrid Schedule (Requires travel between assigned facilities and daily flexibility with work hours)
Responsibilities:
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills. Provides concentrated daily oversight and coordination of the CDI Specialists within assigned regional facilities. Works closely with the CDI System Program Manager to ensure optimization of the CDI Program workflows and its overall success. Proficient in the delivery of Clinical Documentation Integrity process, coding rules and guidelines, as well as in depth analysis of clinical documentation performance reports. Functions as a subject matter expert and guides ongoing efforts for continuous CDI improvement, as well as education both within the department and with key partners such as Physician Advisors, Medical Providers, Coders, Quality and Performance Improvement Representatives, and other multidisciplinary team members. As needed, performs inpatient chart audits, 2nd level or pre-bill chart reviews post discharge. Required specific skills include Knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory standards appropriate to position Performs other duties as assigned. Certification & Licensure:
Required
  • RN (Registered Nurse) Required
  • CCDS Certification (Clinical Documentation) or CDIP Certification (Document Improvement) Preferred
  • CCS Certification (Coding)
Education:
Required
  • Bachelor's In Nursing or related field
Experience:
Required
  • 5 years acute care Required
  • 2 years clinical documentation integrity specialist Preferred
  • 1 year leadership or management
