Job Description

We are a Prosthetic and Orthotic company seeking an exceptional Patient Care Coordinator for our Anderson, SC location. Front office experience in a specialized medical office is a plus! The Patient Care Coordinator will primarily handle administrative tasks, patient registration, documentation collection, co-pay collection, insurance verification and authorization, workflow coordination, and support for clinical staff. This role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with computer software and our EMR. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm. Compensation commensurate with experience. We also offer a great benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
Assisting patients with accurate registration, billing inquiries, managing referrals, and serving as a liaison between patients and healthcare professionals.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintaining organization with patient accounts and scheduling, coordinating insurance coverage, collecting deductibles and co-pays, and scheduling appointments.
Support:
Assisting clinical staff with various administrative and clerical needs.
Compliance:
Ensuring all interactions and services adhere to healthcare regulations and standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Customer service skills are essential. Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn our patient software within 90 days. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a potentially stressful environment. Knowledge of or ability to learn medical terminology, insurance procedures, office procedures, and our patient software system.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
