Director of Women's Center - MUSC Health Columbia Northeast MUSC Health is seeking a dynamic Director of Women's Center to lead operations for Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum services at the Columbia Northeast campus. This leader will play a critical role in advancing quality, safety, team culture, and service growth within a high?impact Women's Services environment. About the Role The Director oversees major functional areas of the Women's Center, managing professional and support staff to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence. The role includes strategic planning, workflow optimization, budget oversight, and the development of standardized processes to elevate performance outcomes across all units. This position also serves as the primary liaison between staff, physician partners, and senior administration, requiring strong communication skills, relationship?building, and the ability to influence across interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations across Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units. Develop and implement strategies that improve quality, standardize workflows, and increase operational efficiency. Manage staffing, team engagement, and leadership development with a focus on high?reliability care. Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and major operational initiatives. Partner with physician groups and administrative leaders to strengthen collaboration and patient experience. Champion patient safety practices, including oversight of security systems and quality improvement programs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Current RN license (SC or compact state). BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required. Proven leadership experience within Women's Services (L&D, Nursery, Postpartum). Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, patient safety, and quality metrics. Ability to build trust, improve team engagement, and lead organizational change.
