Job Description

This position will serve as the Office Director for the Office of Mental Health within BHDD. Provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization's mental health programs and services by ensuring access to quality services, promoting metal wellness, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and supervising clinical and administrative staff. Leads the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Office of Mental Health by developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the agency's rehabilitative mission. Ensures all programs and services comply with state and federal law, accreditation standards, and agency policy. Directs the development and enforcement of policies, standard operating procedures, and training requirements, and establishes key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Directs programs in the Division, including, but not limited to, school mental health services, Justice Involved Youth, Mobile Crisis Response, and Suicide Prevention Program Coordinates with other component offices and executive leaders to establish a culture of cross-functional collaboration to promote efficiency and improves outcomes. Provides fiscal oversight for the Office of Mental Health's programs and services. Ensure efficient and appropriate use of funding, increasing efficiency whenever possible. Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with specialized training in mental health or mental health administration. Progressively responsible experience in the administration of a mental health system. Additional Requirements Knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations related to services for people with mental illness. Ability to maintain effective relationships with agency executives, government officials and consumer groups.
