Clinical Supervisor/Addiction Counselor

Provide direct addiction counseling to diverse client populations. Supervise clinical staff by offering guidance on diagnostic evaluation, and treatment planning to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Conduct intake assessments and comprehensive patient evaluations utilizing medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and HIPAA-compliant documentation procedures. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavioral management strategies. Manage crisis intervention scenarios with professionalism and urgency, ensuring safety and appropriate referrals for clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises. Oversee medical records management, ensuring accurate documentation of patient documents, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Requirements Licensed or Certified Addiction Counselor by the State of South Dakota Proven experience in addiction counseling. Strong knowledge of crisis management techniques, trauma-informed care including PTSD care, guidelines, regulations, and best practices. Familiarity with medical documentation standards such as ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Demonstrated skills in motivational interviewing, group therapy facilitation, case management, and diagnostic evaluation. Experience working within group settings, individual sessions, and managing other clinical staff. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care and counseling counseling.

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
