Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part-Time OR Circulator RN / Manager for Plastic Surgery to join our innovative healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee the surgical environment, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care during plastic surgery procedures. Your expertise will support the surgical team by managing instrument sterilization, assisting during surgeries, and maintaining compliance with safety and documentation standards. Duties Assist the surgical team by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for plastic surgery procedures. Act as the circulating nurse during surgeries, providing necessary instruments and supplies promptly while maintaining aseptic technique. Monitor patient vital signs and overall condition throughout procedures, ensuring safety and comfort. Document all surgical activities accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, including medication administration, procedural notes, and patient assessments. Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical tools in accordance with infection control protocols. Manage inventory of surgical supplies and coordinate with vendors for timely restocking. Support preoperative preparations and postoperative patient care instructions as directed by the surgeon. Experience You are a Registered Nurse with Proven experience as a circulating nurse or surgical assistant in plastic surgery or related fields such as dermatology or cosmetic procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Nextech or Touch MD is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, aseptic procedures, and infection control standards. Experience working in outpatient surgical centers or hospital operating rooms, particularly within a trauma center environment, is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in high-pressure situations. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to plastic surgery procedure. Prior supervisory or team management experience is a plus, especially in coordinating clinical staff or assisting with training new team members.
