Incentives Summary:
Provides proactive leadership on assigned healthcare construction projects, primarily within active hospital environments. This role supports the Special Projects team, focusing on fast-paced, smaller-scale projects that require strong coordination, responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Manager is accountable for client satisfaction, project quality, cost control, and schedule adherence, while working closely with Superintendents and field teams to successfully execute projects in occupied healthcare facilities. This includes planning and coordinating work to minimize disruption to hospital operations and ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Represent Nabholz in business development efforts, including participation in healthcare industry relationships, project interviews, and client meetings
  • Lead project development through the Preconstruction phase with the support of the Preconstruction Department
  • Develop project management plans, including safety, quality, and site logistics, with consideration for active healthcare environments
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with accelerated timelines and varying scopes
  • Coordinate work in operational hospital settings, including phasing, shutdowns, and off-hours work as required
  • Collaborate with Superintendents and field teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of work in occupied spaces
  • Ensure compliance with infection control requirements, including ICRA protocols, dust containment, and negative air systems
  • Manage commitments to Subcontractors and Suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Team and safety staff to achieve safe project execution with a goal of zero jobsite incidents
  • Manage all financial aspects of projects, including job setup, forecasting, billing, and closeout
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, hospital staff, and design partners
  • Provide leadership to project teams, both internally and externally
  • Anticipate construction flow and proactively plan project execution
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasting final costs on a regular basis
  • Maintain strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes
  • All other tasks as assigned
Education/Skill Requirements:
  • Experience managing construction projects within active hospital environments is required (experience limited to clinics or medical office buildings will not be considered)
  • Recent healthcare construction experience strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, preferably within a Special Projects or Service division
  • Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements, including infection control (ICRA preferred)
  • Must understand commercial construction means, methods, materials, and sequencing
  • Ability to effectively coordinate work in occupied and sensitive environments
  • Strong financial and project management skills, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • OSHA 30-hour training preferred
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field is preferred but not required.
Equivalent experience will be considered.
