The Technologist Assistant/Patient Coordinator reports to the Technologist with whom they are staffed. The duties of the Assistant/Coordinator are supervised by the Director of Operations.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Greeting, transporting and screening patients in preparation for exam; assisting patient transfer to and from mobile coach, on and off scan table and dismissal upon exam completionObtains accurate patient history and explains total exam process to patient; as directed, assist in administering preliminary and post exam instructions and answering questions related to the exam procedureAs directed by technologist, interacts with site staff to obtain paperwork and supplies as needed. Additionally, may be asked to deliver paperwork to radiologist and/or admin staff post scan to ensure timely availabilityAs directed by technologist, assistant may obtain blood glucose level and set an IVAs directed, assist technologist with data entry for patient data sheet, Biodose, end of day reports and supply orderingInteraction with managers, registration clerk, directors and radiologist as needed for effective communicationSubmission of paperwork to client indicatedCleans unit and prepares for transport as directed
Job Requirements Skills Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredMinimum 6 months-1 year of related experience and/or training in a clinical setting; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Phlebotomy certification required upon hire or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire. Certification must be completed on the employees own time and at their expenseCurrent American Heart Association (Basic Life Support) certification.

Fully vaccinated and up to date with all required immunizations, including COVID-19.Willing and able to drive, up to 2 hours away. Mileage and travel time are compensated.
Physical and Intellectual Requirements:
Manual dexterity for manipulating small items; regularly lift at least 50 pounds throughout each shift and to be able to lift 75 pounds on occasion. Able to handle standing, walking and sitting for 4+ hours with limited rest intervals; good eye-hand coordination; fair eyesight (with or without correction lenses); normal hearing in at least one ear (hearing range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz); ability to analyze situations, set priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment; effective organizational skills; a commitment to continuous learning; an ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
