Job description Integrated Practice Services, LLC is seeking a Patient Service Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. We support East Tennessee's largest radiology practice, offering a dynamic work environment with diverse responsibilities that provide continuous learning opportunities. This position offers a great work-life balance—no nights or weekends required! Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic professional with prior experience in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the ability to effectively coordinate tasks for both providers and patients. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role involves frequent interaction with coworkers, healthcare providers, and patients. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM. Responsibilities
  • Perform front desk check-in duties, including greeting patients and verifying accurate demographic and insurance information
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to scheduled appointments and enter copayment amounts into EMR system in preparation for collection
  • Review patient accounts to identify outstanding balances and copayments; reach out to patients in advance to inform them of amounts due
  • Collect copayments and other patient payments at the time of service; process both cash and credit card transactions
  • Reconcile daily payments and ensure end-of-day balancing
  • Coordinate with business office staff to review and resolve patient account issues, discrepancies, and billing inquiries
  • Answer incoming calls and return messages promptly; triage calls appropriately to providers, clinical staff, or other departments
  • Cross-train to provide coverage for precertification responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to clinical and administrative teams Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting (required), including at least 1 year of experience with medical insurance plans (required) Strong understanding of insurance benefits, including deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance, with the ability to clearly explain these concepts to patients Proven reliability in job attendance and punctuality Self-motivated, highly organized, and driven Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook Experience with electronic medical records (EMR); eClinicalWorks experience (preferred) Skilled in navigating insurance websites and portals Knowledge of complex medical terminology Prior experience in radiology a plus Benefits/Perks Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Paid Floating Birthday Holiday Uniform Allowance Comprehensive Benefits including Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, 401(k), and 401(k) Matching Supportive work environment
