5 Memphis, TN Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Inpatient Pharmacy Technician License Registered Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy Technician Certification Hospital experience Full Job Description Regional One Health is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician Manager for our Inpatient Pharmacy downtown. A Brief Overview Manages and coordinates integration of the daily activities of pharmacy technicians at Regional One Health pharmacy. This position will be responsible for oversight of maintenance and distribution of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances throughout the organization in a timely and cost effective manner. Assists pharmacy manager to develop objectives, schedules, policies and procedures, and standards of performance. Assists in management and direction, through subordinate professional and technical staff, compounding and mixing all types of prescription drugs as requested by a health care provider in accordance with established practices of the profession and rules and regulations of the hospital. What you will do Assist pharmacy manager to implement pharmacy controls, plans, programs and system measurement. Manages assigned direct reports; evaluate performance, initiate personnel/disciplinary actions of pharmacy technicians as required in accordance with established policies and procedures. Reviews pharmacy processes and data collection and make appropriate changes, under supervision of pharmacy manager. Observes, investigates and implements preventative measures related to Pharmacy technician processes. Provides and documents continuous educational services and feedback to all pharmacy technicians. Assists leadership in creating and/or revising policies, procedures and standards. Maintains current awareness of customer's needs and assists manager, pharmacy to ensure compliance with standards and requirements related to the services provided to all patients ranging from the neonate to geriatrics includes, but not limited to, Joint Commission, Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy, Federal Drug Agency and Drug Enforcement Agency. Implements systems for analyzing, monitoring and reporting system measurements for pharmacy. Communicates and works effectively with other departments or external representatives as appropriate to collaborate in pharmacy and performance improvement activities. Provides expertise necessary to identify, develop and implement new business opportunities within the pharmacy department to include primary, secondary, acute and long-term care. Keeps abreast of best practices, current trends, developments and maintains knowledge of national Pharmacy standards. Maintains pharmacy technician competence commensurate to areas of responsibility. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Attends in-services, educational programs, conferences and other meetings as required. Ensures the confidentiality of patient information to protect individual rights to privacy in the collection and disclosure of identifiable medical information in accordance with HIPAA and other compliance standards. Keeps abreast of best practices, current trends, developments and maintains knowledge of national Pharmacy standards. Maintains clinical competence commensurate to areas of responsibility. Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Attends in-services, educational programs, conferences and other meetings as required. Ensures the confidentiality of patient information to protect individual rights to privacy in the collection and disclosure of identifiable medical information in accordance with HIPAA and other compliance standards.   • Certified Pharmacy Tech Current documentation as Certified Pharmacy Technician and registered to work in State of TN as Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required Minimum 5 years experience Five (5) year's experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient pharmacy.
