Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from appointment scheduling to follow-up care. Your energetic approach will help foster a welcoming environment, coordinate patient services efficiently, and support clinical staff in delivering exceptional healthcare. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations using medical office software Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation to streamline billing processes Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment details, and pre-visit instructions Maintain accurate and organized patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts, updating medical histories, and managing incoming correspondence Answer phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate team members as needed Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with patient referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers Experience Previous experience working in a medical office environment is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support in a busy office setting Strong computer skills are required for scheduling, billing, and record management Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail Experience working in an audiological setting is preferred, but not required Join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator and become an essential part of delivering compassionate, efficient healthcare services.
