Job Description

Job Summary The Health and Wellness Director is responsible for overseeing the health and wellness programs within our organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards while promoting a culture of wellness among residents and staff. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of healthcare practices, resident rights, and effective management strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in case management, budgeting, and supervising healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care. Duties Develop, implement, and manage health and wellness programs that align with organizational goals. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records. Supervise nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with staff and residents. Oversee case management processes to facilitate appropriate care for residents. Manage budgets related to health services, ensuring efficient use of resources. Advocate for resident rights and ensure their needs are met within the healthcare framework. Lead training sessions for staff on best practices in acute care and wellness initiatives. Monitor health outcomes and adjust programs as necessary to improve resident well-being. Experience Proven experience in a healthcare leadership role, preferably as a nurse or similar position. Strong background in supervising teams within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with budgeting processes in a healthcare environment. Knowledge of acute care practices and case management principles. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Candidates should possess a blend of clinical knowledge, administrative skills, and a passion for enhancing the health and wellness of individuals under their care.
