With deep expertise in Medicare GME reimbursement, including Direct GME (DGME) and Indirect Medical Education (IME), the team partners with sponsoring institutions and teaching hospitals to create GME program strategies, guide new program development and expansion, and operationalize compliant, sustainable processes. From resident cap management and program structuring to cost reporting and ongoing regulatory compliance, the team leverages advanced analytics, proprietary methodologies, and extensive regulatory experience to optimize financial performance and strengthen operational efficiency to support the long-term success of GME programs.
What You Will Do:
Lead and support ACGME accreditation and program application processes by driving key phases of ACGME accreditation, including program application preparation, site visit coordination, and ongoing documentation activities. Help interpret ACGME requirements, develop timelines, and organize materials to facilitate efficient accreditation efforts. Manage new residency program development (planning, documentation, accreditation readiness) by supporting health systems in the development of new residency programs through planning activities, documentation drafting, and coordination of accreditation readiness efforts. Contribute to feasibility inputs, program materials, and readiness through gap assessments and mock reviews to help clients prepare for submission and review processes. Coordinate GME organizational structure initiatives for health systems by contributing to assessments of existing GME governance and operational models and assist in developing recommendations aligned with organizational priorities. Help design frameworks, reporting approaches, and coordination processes that enhance program organization and consistency. Provide operational coordination and project management support for residency programs by assisting with day-to-day operational initiatives across residency programs, including timeline tracking, stakeholder coordination, and deliverable management. Support efficient program operations through organization, communication, and process improvement efforts. Serve as a hands-on GME operations resource for client engagements by providing day-to-day support for client GME operations and working closely with program administration. Assist with resolving operational needs, supporting administrative activities, and contributing to the execution of ongoing GME initiatives. Align GME program operations with Medicare reimbursement objectives by supporting resident FTE tracking, cost reporting inputs, and cap optimization considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of experience in GME operations or administration • Demonstrated experience leading ACGME accreditation and program development efforts Strong understanding of GME organizational structures within health systems Experience managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders Working knowledge of GME finance Experience with residency management software platform
