In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire medical billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, effective management of accounts receivable, and compliance with healthcare regulations. You will be expected to enhance revenue cycle performance. You will work closely with the practices administrator who will oversee your performance. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily medical billing activities, including claim submission, follow-up, and denial management. Implement best practices for coding accuracy, documentation review, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify outstanding claims and develop strategies for prompt resolution. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation supports billing processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, payer requirements, and industry changes affecting billing procedures. Generate detailed reports on billing performance metrics and present insights to senior management for continuous improvement. Qualifications Atleast 5 years experience in medical billing management or healthcare revenue cycle operations. Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), insurance processes, and healthcare regulations. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software such as Eclinicalworks, Cerner, or similar platforms. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to analyze complex data sets and implement process improvements effectively.
