The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our medical facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding, and administrative processes. The Coordinator will ensure efficient patient service and maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Duties Manage and coordinate patient intake and scheduling, ensuring timely appointments and efficient use of resources. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all records meet regulatory standards. Provide administrative support in the medical office, including filing, clerical tasks, and managing multi-line phone systems. Assist with insurance verification and patient inquiries, providing exceptional customer service at all times. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Epic. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure continuity of care for patients. Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive patient information. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with medical administrative support is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and billing processes is required. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; strong communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing speed for documentation purposes. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental terminology and office management is a plus for candidates applying to dental clinics or offices.
