Nurse Manager
  • Hospital Operations East Houston Medical Center
  • Baytown, Texas East Houston Medical Center is seeking an exceptional Nurse Manager
  • Hospital Operations to provide strategic, hands‑on nursing leadership at our Baytown facility.
This role oversees nursing practice and patient care. delivery across all clinical areas, ensuring safety, high‑quality, and compassionate care 24/7. The Nurse Manager will be the key on‑site nursing leader, partnering with executives, physicians, and department leaders to elevate quality, patient experience, and staff engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead and support nursing teams across multiple hospital departments, ensuring consistent standards of excellence in patient care and service. Oversee hospital‑wide staffing, patient placement, and acuity‑based assignments to maintain safe and efficient workflows. Mentor and develop charge nurses and frontline leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork. Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support effective communication, rounding, and rapid response to changes in patient condition. Monitor clinical quality, nurse‑sensitive indicators, and patient experience data; drive targeted improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, hospital policies, and professional nursing practice standards. Partner with HR and Education on onboarding, competency, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff. Participate in or lead key hospital committees focused on quality, safety, infection prevention, and nursing practice. Requirements Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or eligibility for Texas licensure). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. At least 5 years of acute care nursing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role (charge nurse, supervisor, manager, or similar). Demonstrated success leading teams, improving clinical outcomes, and supporting a positive work environment.
