In the Laboratory—also known as the clinical laboratory—the Laboratory Director will lead a high-performing diagnostics service line that supports emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care with robust test menus in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, transfusion services, and point-of-care; the unit benefits from modern analyzers, LIS optimization, and rigorous CLIA compliance while the hospital is recognized as a top 20 critical access hospital, emphasizes community-centric care, and maintains high patient satisfaction scores to reinforce a reputation for quality and trust.

Reporting to executive leadership with a close dyad partnership with the Pathology Medical Director, the Clinical Laboratory Director guides strategy, accreditation readiness, quality management, competency validation, cost stewardship, vendor relations, method validation, and performance improvement, all while receiving strong operational support from materials management, IT/LIS, finance, and a collaborative nursing leadership team—friendly nurses and a diverse group of technologists, phlebotomists, pathologists, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, case managers, and physician partners who champion interdisciplinary care and streamlined workflows.
