All staff assigned to unit. Physical Requirements The ability to perform the duties and responsibility of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations for disabilities. Position Specific Essential Functions Coordinate Education for the Pre, Post and PACU areas across all surgical locations. Project management assistance to support the goals and improve care for the surgical populations This individual will assist with the planning and coordinating of projects as follows: Central Sterile Renovation project, assuring that we meet AAMI guidelines. Lean Project to reduce OR tray Volumes and enhance storage across surgery Assist and coordinate regulatory rounds in each area and assist managers in addressing deficiencies, so the environment of care and infection control practices are elevated. Assist managers in completing LEAN projects to improve workflow Same Day Surgery Nausea Project CS ASAP tray project with GYN Unit Main OR Tray reduction project Main OR Renovations- Currently looking at coordinating storage space on third floor and plan for additional adding on of ORs, CS, PACU and Same Day Surgery in future.
Nursing Experience:
Preferred Five years of experience inSurgical Nursing Certification/Licensure:
Required Registered Nurse (RN), with authorization to practice in the State of Texas Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date Preferred Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area, by an organization recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) CertificationSimilar jobs in Big Spring, TX
