Full-Time The Patient Access Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the patient access functions within the healthcare facility. This role ensures efficient and effective management of patient admissions, registrations, and scheduling processes, while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient access services and improve workflow efficiency. Monitor and analyze patient access metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication across departments. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards related to patient access and information management. Provide training and support to staff on patient access systems and processes. Address and resolve patient inquiries and complaints related to access services in a professional and timely manner. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for patient access services to align with organizational goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in patient access management.
Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Proven track record in managing patient access services, including registration, scheduling, and insurance verification. Experience in implementing and optimizing patient access processes and systems.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals. Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to analyze and interpret data to improve patient access operations and achieve organizational goals. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to patient access services.
