Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and mission-driven Health Services Coordinator to support adolescents in our secure juvenile facilities. This position plays a key role in ensuring youth receive timely, safe, and developmentally appropriate medical care. What You'll Do Duties Coordinate daily health care delivery and health education for residents Obtain routine medical information and conduct basic nursing assessments Administer medications, vaccinations, and TB testing Carry out physician-delegated orders and oversee medication management Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with state standards Schedule and coordinate medical, dental, and vision appointments Organize immunization clinics and order/track all medications Communicate regularly with medical providers, pharmacies, parents/guardians, staff, and schools Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and support Public Health Emergency Preparedness Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Active Texas RN or LVN license Meets Texas Nurse Practice Act standards Strong communication, time-management, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical documentation Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass a criminal background check, driving record check, and drug screen Preferred but not required: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience in adolescent, behavioral health, or correctional settings
