About the
Role:
As an Assistant Health Services Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare services within a federally managed facility that provides care to individuals in U.S. government custody. Working in a secure, clinic environment, you will assist in administrative oversight, coordinate clinical services, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This position requires professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and a strong commitment to ethical care and regulatory compliance in a high-accountability setting.
Pay :
$104,270 annually
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of health services, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation. Support the Health Services Administrator in implementing policies and procedures that ensure quality care and regulatory compliance. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including patient flow, service delivery, and staff productivity. Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient service delivery. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational standards. Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives. Serve as a liaison between departments, providers, and external partners.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field (Master's preferred). 2+ years of experience in a healthcare administrative or supervisory role. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in correctional, military, or community health settings. Familiarity with Texas state health regulations and Medicaid/Medicare processes.
Physical Requirements:
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment.
Schedule:
This facility operates 24/7/365. This full-time position requires working days, evenings, as well as weekends and holidays. Specific hours will be determined by the facility needs. On-call availability is not required.
