Area General Manager - Women's Health Care, you lead a dynamic, cross-functional, customer-facing team to deliver ambitious top-line targets while advancing meaningful outcomes for patients and healthcare systems. You own the performance of your local business unit, managing both personnel and flexible spending to make thoughtful trade-offs that maximize impact. In this role, you bring a deep understanding of the needs of healthcare practitioners and health systems in women's health, ensuring that every decision is grounded in customer and patient centricity. You collaborate extensively with headquarters and key stakeholders to shape strategy, align resources, and drive sustainable performance across your area.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary responsibilities of this role, Sr.
Area General Manager - Women's Health Care, are to: + Be accountable for achieving revenue goals for the area; develop and execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share while operating within the organization's financial framework and resourcing the team based on geographic and market needs; + Lead and develop a high-performing cross-functional business unit team, including sales representatives, key account managers, and specialized roles; set a clear vision, translate strategy into operational goals, communicate expectations simply and clearly, and regularly assess team size and composition based on evolving market needs; + Identify, attract, and retain high-performing talent; build and coach a high-performing sales organization by embodying the roles of visionary, architect, coach, and catalyst, fostering a "One Team" mindset of shared accountability, ownership, strong performance, and collaboration; + Gain and apply a deep understanding of relevant markets, business models, strategic priorities, and financial drivers; stay current on local and national healthcare issues, customer trends, care pathways, and quality best practices to inform strategy and execution; + Define the local area strategy and priorities in close collaboration with cross-functional and HQ partners; manage a portfolio of brands across therapeutic areas and dynamically allocate resources to maximize impact while setting, executing, and measuring market-based objectives; + Direct the local squad P&L by closely monitoring financial performance; optimize budget utilization through strategic allocation to marketing and customer engagement initiatives and deploy human resources to maximize return on investment and drive sales growth; + Build and sustain long-term relationships with influential customers and health system stakeholders; understand customer business needs and compliantly communicate compelling value propositions through tailored proposals and presentations; + Lead a national health system-focused sales organization engaging IDNs, ACOs, and large health systems in stroke prevention and anticoagulation management; closely collaborate with Regional Account Directors (RADs) and National Account Directors (NADs) to shape strategy, align on account objectives, and drive effective pull-through; + Build strategic partnerships with C-suite and D-suite leaders, including CMOs, CCOs, CFOs, pharmacy and quality leaders, to shape enterprise adoption and formulary access; + Enable and influence patient access and reimbursement strategies across the portfolio; maintain timely, transparent communication with direct reports, matrix partners, management, and internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- + Bachelor's degree; + Strong mindset of insatiable ownership, curiosity, and accountability for the local business; broad understanding of the total business with strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret and act on data and facts; + Proven ability to create a compelling local vision and strategy and to formulate, implement, and adapt business plans in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment; + Exceptional problem-solving skills and comfort working through complexity; consistent ability to identify root causes, deep dive into issues, and create, execute, and evaluate action plans; + Solid selling and negotiation skills; experience managing budgets, negotiating for resources, and maximizing return on investment; + Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, market access, medical, and patient access teams to ensure strong commercial execution; + Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and inspire teams to deliver high performance; + Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, with demonstrated strength in identifying talent, coaching and mentoring others, and helping individuals and teams meet or exceed goals and targets; + Thorough understanding of health systems, customer segments, regional market dynamics, and KOL development within relevant therapeutic areas; + Willingness and ability to travel routinely on a weekly basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + 8+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech sector with roles of increasing responsibility in areas such as sales, account management, market access, brand management, commercial operations, or medical; + Experience leading sales or account teams in hospital or health system settings; + Experience in cardiovascular, stroke, renal, and/or anticoagulation therapeutic areas.
+ Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $202,000.00 - $303,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
