Here's What You Need:
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred. Experience
  • 3 years of related experience is required.
  • Previous Supervisory or Lead experience in a Hospital Patient Admissions, Patient Registration or Patient Access Services preferred.
  • Previous ER experience preferred. Certifications and Licenses
  • CHAM
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager upon hire preferred.
  • CHAA
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire is preferred.
  • CPI
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training with-in 60 Days is required.
What You Will Do:
  • Texas Health Arlington Memorial Supervisor
  • PAS is responsible for providing an excellent patient healthcare experience at each Texas Health site, this individual will oversee PAS areas, regulatory requirements, accomplish patient education, and all duties set forth in Patient Access Services. Proficient in all PAS areas, cross trained in multiple workflows, Promise Pal onboarding of new hires and extensive customer service.
  • Responsible for performing tasks and training of area in which he or she is assigned. Responsible for the design and implementation of system and entity policies related to data collections, patient and family education. Corporate Compliance program, patient rights and responsibilities, legal consents, release of information, medical staff bylaws and JCAHO, state, and federal regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining staff's productivity standards set by the department. this includes pulling reports out of ONTRAC and triaging accounts to even out worklist. Also responsible for maintaining KPI's as set forth by the department.
  • Responsible for reviewing patient account errors and denials that pertain to the Insurance Verification's Department. Also providing guidance to staff, which will enable them to perform necessary action to correct patient account. Distributes corrections and denials as appropriate.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate work schedules., ensures adequate staffing, and takes weekend calls as needed. Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Monitoring Press Ganey Scores and patient comments.
Communicate Press Ganey information with staff and communicates improvements needed with employees, ancillary departments, and clinical areas. Additional Perks of Being a
