This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is passionate about helping patients navigate life-changing treatments, including dental implants, All-on-X full arch restorations, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, and oral surgery procedures. As the primary point of contact for our surgical patients, you will guide them through every step of their treatment journey—from consultation and insurance verification to surgery scheduling and post-operative follow-up. The ideal candidate combines exceptional customer service skills with strong knowledge of insurance, treatment coordination, and dental or medical administration. What You'll Do Coordinate patient care from consultation through surgical treatment and post-operative follow-up. Schedule consultations, surgeries, and follow-up appointments using WinOMS and Open Dental . Verify dental and medical insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations when required. Present treatment plans and assist patients in understanding recommended procedures and financial options. Communicate with referring dental offices, specialists, insurance carriers, and healthcare providers. Review patient records, medical histories, referrals, radiographs, and treatment documentation for accuracy. Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions while ensuring patients feel informed and supported. Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate patient documentation. Assist with financing options including CareCredit, Cherry, Proceed Finance, and other payment solutions. Manage incoming calls, patient inquiries, and scheduling requests with professionalism and empathy. Support practice growth by delivering an exceptional patient experience that encourages referrals and positive reviews. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental, oral surgery, periodontal, prosthodontic, or healthcare setting. Experience with WinOMS , Open Dental , Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar practice management software preferred. Knowledge of dental insurance verification, treatment coordination, pre-authorizations, and claim submission. Familiarity with dental and medical terminology, CDT, CPT, and ICD-10 coding is preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Professional, positive, and patient-focused attitude. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred. Experience with dental implants, full-arch restoration cases, or oral surgery scheduling is a plus. Why Lighthouse?
