Job Description

Orthodontic Practice Director Krieger Orthodontics Lewisville, TX Job Details Full-time $50,953.26 - $61,363.07 a year 7 days ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Talent management Administrative experience Team development Hiring Recruiting Full Job Description Hey — quick question. Are you the person on your team that everyone looks to, even when it's not your job? Because we're looking for that person. I'm Dr. Glenn Krieger, orthodontist and practice founder of Krieger Orthodontics, and I'm looking for one very specific person. Not someone to shuffle paperwork and hold a clipboard. Someone who walks into a room and makes it better. Someone whose team would run through a wall for them — because they'd do the same first. This is the Practice Director role. And if you've ever felt like you were capable of more than your current environment allowed, keep reading. Before the bullet points, here's the honest part: You do NOT need to be a practice management expert on day one. I'd rather hire someone who leads with heart, earns trust naturally, and genuinely loves the people around them than someone with a polished resume who treats staff like resources. Character can't be trained. Everything else can. What this job actually feels like You won't be stuck in an office managing from a distance. You'll be present. You'll know your team by name, know what motivates them, know when someone's having a hard day before they say a word. You'll be the person the team comes to when they need guidance — and the person they celebrate with when things go well. You'll set the tone. You'll protect the culture. You'll be the reason this place runs the way it does. And here's something that sets this opportunity apart: our practice is part of Smile Doctors, one of the largest and most respected orthodontic groups in the country. That means the training and leadership development you'll receive goes well beyond what most practices could ever offer. Smile Doctors brings some of the best operational minds and leadership resources in the entire orthodontic industry, and as our Practice Director, you'll have full access to all of it. You'll grow here in ways that would take years to replicate anywhere else. At the same time, we are a boutique practice. You won't feel like a number. The culture is personal, the team is close, and the doctor is present. You get the resources of a large organization with the feel of a practice where everybody knows your name. What you'll do Oversee the day to day operations of the practice with the goal of a seamless, excellent patient and team experience Lead, develop, and support a team of orthodontic professionals Hold the culture accountable in a way that feels like inspiration, not enforcement Identify and solve problems before they become fires Serve as the connection point between the clinical team, the front office, and the doctor Track performance metrics and work toward continuous improvement Help recruit, onboard, and retain great people Be someone the team trusts, respects, and wants to show up for Who thrives here Leaders who lead by doing, not just directing People who are impossibly upbeat without being fake about it Those who protect their team like family Natural communicators who make people feel genuinely heard Problem solvers who stay calm when things get complicated People who take ownership rather than make excuses Those who see potential in others and know how to draw it out Experience Experience in orthodontics or dentistry is strongly preferred. If you've worked in a clinical or administrative role in a dental or orthodontic setting, you already understand the world we operate in and that matters. If your background is in healthcare or another high touch, team based environment and your leadership track record is strong, we're still interested in hearing from you. What you get Competitive salary Considerable bonus opportunity tied to practice performance Health benefits Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan Free and discounted orthodontic treatment for family Leadership development and training through Smile Doctors, the best in the business A doctor who leads by example and invests in the people around him One more thing. This is not a job for someone who wants to coast. It is a job for someone who wants to matter. Who wants to build something. Who goes home knowing their team had a better day because of how they showed up. If that sounds like you, apply. Even if you're not sure you're ready. Especially then. The people who doubt themselves a little often turn out to be the best leaders. Come meet us. That's usually what convinces people.
