To provide expert, competent, credible, visible leadership service to advocate for area of responsibility; support shared decision-making; and allocate resources to support staff. The Director of Clinical Operations assumes leadership responsibility for divisions clinical and administrative departments assigned. The Director is responsible for the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures. The Director will participate with administration, management, medical staff, clinical leaders and frontline employees in the decision-making structures and processes. The Director will implement an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care delivered to patients. The Director is responsible for budgeting and managing supplies, equipment and personnel of the division. The Director will ensure that division staff has enough information to comply with corporate compliance program.SHIFT & SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates knowledge of the healthcare environment (e.g., clinical practice knowledge, patient care delivery models, work design knowledge, healthcare economics, healthcare policy, governance, evidence-based practice, outcome measurement, patient safety, utilization / case management, quality improvement, metrics, and risk management). Employs leadership skills (e.g., foundational thinking, personal journey, uses systems thinking, succession planning and change management). Demonstrates professionalism (e.g., personal and career accountability, career planning, ethics, practices evidence-based clinical and management, advocates for the clinical enterprise and for clinical practice, and active membership in professional associations). Apply business skills (e.g., understanding of healthcare finances, human resource management and development, strategic management, marketing, and information management and technology). Responsible for and possess the authority for ensuring the requirements of Quality Management System are implemented and maintained. Inspiring a shared vision for a preferred future, resulting from global analysis, in order tolead other people and the organization to this desired or preferred future. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Doctorate degree preferred, Graduate (Masters) Degree required. If Graduate Degree is not in nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree is required. Professional certification in nursing or executive leadership required. Professional certification in clinical specialty preferred. 10 years of progressive nursing experience. Minimum of five years of progressive management experience is required. Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to: Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff. The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.SUPERISION REQUIREMENTS
The Director -Clinical Operations report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. Reporting directly to theNursing Directors:
