$116,251 - $164,366 Base Salary + Up to 17.5%
Performance Bonus Shift & Schedule:
Days | No Weekends Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume surgical department. This leadership role will oversee surgical services operations, quality initiatives, fiscal management, staff development, and growth strategies while supporting excellence in patient care and surgical outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and oversee all Surgical Services operations, ensuring efficient patient throughput and exceptional patient care. Partner with executive leadership and physicians to support service line growth and new program development. Drive operational excellence through volume forecasting, patient flow management, and resource optimization. Implement evidence-based practices and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial performance. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality patient care standards. Monitor labor productivity, staffing plans, scheduling, and workforce utilization. Foster employee engagement, professional development, and retention initiatives. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Support quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics. Lead managers, supervisors, and staff while promoting a culture of accountability and excellence. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of Surgical Services experience required. Minimum 1 year of recent Director-level or strong Surgical Services leadership experience required. Strong knowledge of surgical operations, quality management, budgeting, and staff leadership. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Pediatric clinical or leadership experience. Experience in Women's Services, Pediatrics, NICU, Labor & Delivery, or Mother-Baby settings. Experience managing large surgical departments and multiple operating rooms.
