• Job Summary and Qualifications
• The Lead Transporter will provide combined oversight of all transporters with the Department Manager.

As a Transporter you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transport of patients within the hospital. Provide every patient with the highest quality of professional care and ensure the safety of the patient while in transport. Uses good body mechanics needed to care for patients. Each Transporter will be responsible for dressing and sanitizing stretchers, reading oxygen tanks to ensure tanks are full for the next patient, and restocking linen the transporting department. Demonstrates knowledge needed for proper use of wheelchairs, stretchers and other transporting equipment. Utilizes and monitors Teletracker during high volume times and disperses transporters accordingly.

• Requirements:

• + High School diploma or equivalent + BLS within 90 days of employment + Prior hospital or health care related experience preferred
