Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Director Surgical Services for an exciting Direct Hire opportunity in Houston, TX. Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for Surgical Services and perioperative operations. Drive evidence-based clinical practices that improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and operational performance. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards. Oversee patient flow, throughput, care coordination, and daily departmental operations. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care. Lead initiatives focused on patient satisfaction and service excellence. Utilize patient feedback and performance metrics to improve care delivery. Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing surgical services team. Recruit, retain, and support professional development of nursing and surgical staff. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner with physicians and executive leadership to support service line growth and strategic initiatives. Participate in budget planning, staffing, forecasting, and resource allocation. Monitor departmental productivity, financial performance, and operational metrics. Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and cost savings while maintaining quality patient care. Support program expansion and organizational growth initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required. Minimum 1 year of recent Director-level Surgical Services leadership experience OR strong Surgical Services management experience required. Minimum 3 years of Surgical Services clinical experience required. Strong knowledge of perioperative operations, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. Experience leading multidisciplinary surgical services teams. Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational planning skills. Experience with staffing, productivity management, and performance improvement initiatives. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead strategic growth and operational excellence initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing or a Healthcare-related field preferred. Pediatric experience at the staff or leadership level preferred. Experience in Pediatrics, Mother-Baby, NICU, or Labor & Delivery settings preferred.
