Hospitality, organization, leadership, computer, communication, case management, student support Position Summary The Site Coordinator manages the GED and student services programs at CWJC. This role is responsible for student intake, attendance, case management, orientation, volunteer teacher scheduling, curriculum support, voucher tracking, and graduation logistics. The Site Coordinator ensures students are supported academically and personally, while maintaining accurate records and reporting to the Program Director. Key Responsibilities Student Intake & Records Conduct intake for GED program participants, including applications, assessments, and identification of additional needs. Collect and maintain secure student records, including copies of driver's license or government-issued ID. Maintain attendance records and enforce absence policies. Track practice test and GED test completion, ensuring outcomes are documented. Case Management & Student Services Provide case management for assigned students, maintaining summaries for each case. Identify additional student needs (transportation, childcare, referrals) and connect them to resources. Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with participants to encourage retention. Support students in goal-setting and accountability. Teacher Volunteer & Curriculum Support Manage scheduling of volunteer teachers for GED subject classes and Bible study. Coordinate with the Bible study instructor and provide curriculum support as needed. Ensure volunteers have materials, classrooms, and resources prepared. Communicate with teachers about student progress and classroom needs. Program Operations & Events Act as campus host during program hours, classes, and events. Prepare classrooms and ensure supplies are available. Track GED voucher usage and maintain accurate bookkeeping. Lead planning and logistics for student graduations and recognition events. Evening Class Coverage
  • When schedule, serve as on-site staff presence during evening classes to monitor attendance, support teachers, and address student needs.
  • Ensure classrooms are prepared and that volunteers and students are checked in properly.
  • Provide evening class reports (attendance, issues, follow-up needs) to the Program Director.
  • Coordinate with the Program Director if an alternate staff member or trained volunteer is assigned to cover in the Site Coordinator's absence.
