Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients and the dental practice, ensuring seamless communication and efficient management of treatment plans. Your energetic approach will help patients understand their dental care options, navigate insurance processes, and feel confident in their treatment journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence while utilizing your strong administrative and clinical support skills. Duties Review and explain detailed treatment plans to patients, ensuring clarity about procedures, costs, and insurance coverage Coordinate with dental providers to develop comprehensive care plans aligned with patient needs Verify insurance benefits, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private carriers, utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Athenahealth Assist patients with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and payment options using medical billing and coding knowledge such as
CPT, ICD-9/10
coding, and HIPAA compliance Manage medical records and documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as eClinicalWorks and EHR platforms Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software; handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions promptly, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA regulations, and supporting overall office operations including front desk duties and filing Experience Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with a focus on treatment coordination or administrative support Strong familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing processes Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth is highly preferred Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated competence in insurance verification procedures and understanding of Medicare/Medicaid policies Excellent organizational skills with the ability to review documentation thoroughly while maintaining attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with typing skills including 10-key typing for efficient data entry Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology and clinic workflows will be advantageous Join our team where your enthusiasm for patient care meets your administrative expertise!
