Job Description

Establish daily work assignments for technologists Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System. Develop and maintain an efficient work assignment to minimize patient waiting times and maximize efficiency Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and procedures Periodically review images to ensure good quality and, if necessary, work with the technologist to improve image quality Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality improvement programs as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards Perform annual equipment inspections and corrections as dictated by HFAP IV infiltrates, Adverse Drug Reactions, codes, and other incident reports as well as any other issues that need resolved Assist in developing CQI Indicators Perform procedures as the schedule requires and rotates call as needed Assist in the interview process with new hires when requested Assist the Radiology Supervisor/Director in monitoring stock levels and order supplies as needed, staying within the established expense budget Assists Radiology Clinical Coordinator/Supervisor/Director with the development of specific modality protocols Perform other duties as assigned Follow ACR Guidelines, maintain ACR Accreditation Standards Adhere to the Service Excellence Standards and Expectations at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center Exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers Exhibit courteous communication skills and an ability to work with others, exercising good judgment in performance of job duties Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and respect to others in adherence of the hospital's philosophy and policy for promoting positive work and customer environments Work as a team to continuously improve work quality Demonstrate a commitment to flexible work schedules when it is necessary to ensure patient care Present self in a positive manner as reflected by personal attire and etiquette Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services Reports to: Radiology Supervisor and Clinical Coordinator; though may also be assigned work from Physicians or the

N/A Minimum Required Education:
Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology
Preferred Education:
N/A Minimum of 5 years of experience in Interventional Radiology. Must be ARRT registered, ACLS & BLS certified upon hire. Technical/other training or better in Radiologic Technology. Associates or better in Radiologic Technology. Bachelors or better in Radiologic Technology.
