Clinical Director Bailey & Bond Enterprise Newport News, VA Job Details Full-time | Contract $50,000 - $70,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Crisis intervention ICD coding HIPAA Case management Quality improvement Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an energetic, accountable, and mission-driven Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health services across Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs. This pivotal leadership role oversees all clinical operations, ensures high-quality patient care, and builds a strong, collaborative clinical team. The Clinical Director will play a key role in program development, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence. Duties Lead and supervise clinical staff, including licensed clinicians, QMHPs, interns, and trainees. Oversee all clinical services within the IOP and PHP programs to ensure quality and compliance. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, trauma-informed care). Review and approve clinical documentation to ensure alignment with Virginia DBHDS regulations and payer requirements Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including treatment planning, progress notes, and clinical audits Conduct and oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and case management processes Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives Coordinate crisis intervention efforts and manage high-risk situations to ensure client safety Provide direct clinical supervision in accordance with Virginia board requirements Conduct performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and support staff professional development Assist in the development and expansion of IOP and PHP programming and service delivery models Support licensing, audits, inspections, and accreditation readiness activities Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable behavioral health regulations Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to enhance service delivery Skills & Qualifications Active, unrestricted Virginia license (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) Board-approved clinical supervisor (or eligible) 3-5+ years post-licensure clinical experience 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred Experience in IOP, PHP, or structured outpatient behavioral health settings Strong knowledge of Virginia DBHDS regulations (12VAC35-105 & 12VAC35-115) Expertise in clinical documentation, treatment planning, and audit readiness Experience working with mental health and substance use (co-occurring) populations Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care Strong understanding of crisis intervention, PTSD, and behavioral health treatment modalities Knowledge of ICD coding, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation standards Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage clinical operations effectively Excellent communication and leadership skills What We're Looking For A hands-on leader who sets the standard for clinical excellence Someone who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments A professional who takes ownership of outcomes, compliance, and team performance A leader committed to serving diverse and underserved populations Why Join Us Opportunity to build and shape a growing behavioral health program Leadership role with direct impact on clinical quality and program expansion Collaborative and mission-driven team environment Competitive compensation and professional growth opportunities Ability to make a meaningful difference in individuals, families, and communities
