Surgery Administrator Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30

Start Date:

6/15 Seeking a Surgery Administrator to support a high-volume backlog of approximately 400 surgical cases . This role partners with Patient Financial Counselors to manage scheduling, authorizations, and pre-operative coordination to reduce delays in care. Key Responsibilities Communicate surgical details and send procedure letters to patients Obtain and track medical clearances and pre-operative documentation Coordinate surgical, specialty, and follow-up appointments Process and track insurance authorizations Support end-to-end surgical scheduling workflows and backlog reduction Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and clinical teams Required Skills Surgical scheduling experience (healthcare, dental, or similar) Strong patient coordination and communication skills Insurance authorization experience High attention to detail and follow-up Ability to manage high-volume administrative work Nice to Have EPIC experience Familiarity with healthcare workflows Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
