Job Description

Clinical Supervisor- Opioid Clinic Horizon Health is seeking a clinical supervisor to work in conjunction with our Program Director at our opioid clinic called Foundations Health in Petersburg, VA. The OTP Clinical Supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the Program Director to maintain and develop the clinical staff as well as promoting the clinical integrity of the program.
Responsibilities:
Supervisors shall assume responsibility for the professional activities of the supervisee under their supervision. Supervision by any individual whose relationship to the supervisee compromises the objectivity of the supervisor is prohibited. Supervises the clinical work of the counselors, including providing and documenting individual and group supervision. Conduct chart audits to ensure that clinical documentation meets state and federal requirements. Maintains active involvement with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers and develops processes to enhance patient retention and flow. Maintains a patient caseload proportionate to the number of counselors supervised Completes, monitors, and ensures the completion of assessments, treatment plans, continuing care, and discharge plans in accordance with policy and procedure Identifies and addresses individual and departmental clinical training needs. Functions as a resource to other OTP staff on clinical issues, as needed. Contribute to performance reviews of clinical staff. Requirements:
Masters Degree in social work or a clinically related mental health/ human services field required. 1 year of experience in substance abuse counseling and at least 100 hours of didactic training covering the areas outlined in DBHDS regulations.
