Implements policies, conducts screenings, clinical counseling services and case management services for Behavioral Health Branch programs. Serves as the first point of contact for behavioral health services for active-duty Marines retired military members, their families, and others as authorized by DoD policy. Comprehensive counseling services include screening, clinical case management, individual, marital, group, and family trement. Reviews, develops, coordines and provides case management services concerning Behavioral Health participants to include but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, coping and other factors which detract from an individual's behavioral health. Serves as Subject Mter Expert (SME) on all Behavioral Health counseling trement services, to include conducting screenings, determinion of client's level of functioning, prognosis, trement or need for approprie referral. Conducts psychosocial assessments with emphasis on diagnosis and recommendion for trement. Conducts assessments, evaluions and studies of new, existing, and proposed programs to determine effectiveness and impact, and recommends changes or improvements in methods and procedures to diagnosis and develops trement plans based on identified problems, psychosocial factors and trement capabilities. As a credential Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), performs diagnosis of mental health disorders and determines level of pient trement th focuses on trement intensity and individual pient needs. Applies vast knowledge and experience established therapeutic techniques, principles, theories and methods screens, evalues and provides counseling for clients as indiced by interviews and assessment. Assessments include complete psychosocial evaluions, risk assessments for behavioral health reled issues. Develop documents and presents identified problems and proposed trement plans to individuals, groups and families. Identifies or develops sources for needed therapy and other support services. Conducts assessments or evalues policies and programs regarding short term, individual or conjoint counseling with individuals, families and groups, outpient therapy sessions. Use a variety of modalities and techniques as approprie for situions and clients. Prepares required reports and records. Informs approprie points of contact of stus, progress, duty limitions and ways to facilite the trement process. Works with associed staff from work, school, and trement facilities to ensure accure and proper handling of cases. Develops and administers a multi-modality comprehensive rehabilition and trement program to deal with Behavioral Health reled issues. Provides evaluions for rehabilition/trement efforts, evalues progress, adequacy of trement and follow up. Supervises employee's full performance Clinical Specialist to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take approprie action. Plans, develops and implements programs designed to foster positive healthy relionships within the family structure. SME on Behavioral health issues reling to rehabilition and trement plans with projections for proposed changes to improve programming, evalues community resources to determine availability, applicability and best utilizion of services for potential implemention Marine Corps wide. Conducts ongoing review of trement plans and trement effectiveness to improve services. Promotes and maintains communicion and harmonious working relionships with federal, ste, and local government agencies to develop and maintain good working relionships. Represents the Marine Corps, as required, different forums concerning Behavioral Health. Maintains contacts with officials in approprie Marine Corps commands, as well as other Services, DoD, and Congressional staffs, to monitor current policies, determine Marine Corps compliance with current programs, and to identify trends which affect Marine Corps programs. Collect da from diverse sources and use them to produce meaningful management analysis. Develops correspondence, briefs; and other items for HQMC Flag Officers. Qualificions Master's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences, able to meet Credentialing and Privileging standards in MCO Pl 754.11 and SECNAV Instruction 1754.7 A. Must have a current ste license to practice independently as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Clinical Psychologist and must provide a photocopy with their applicion. Two years of post-gradue experience in various modalities and skill to provide individual, group, couples and family trement/counseling. Must have least two years of experience providing clinical supervision to other licensed clinicians. Ability to provide Behavioral Health reled counseling services as well as comprehensive counseling and case management services to active duty and retired military members, the Reserve components of the military services, their families, and DOD civilians as space permits. Skill to provide comprehensive counseling services for: anxiety, depression, stress, violence, and coping areas amenable to brief solution-focused therapy. Knowledge of and skill to apply human social services principles and practices, family and group dynamics, human behavior and chemical dependency dynamics in providing counseling services. Knowledge of family structure, dynamics, needs and problems, interpersonal, economic, social, cultural, environmental, and psychological factors in relion to changing social pterns. Diagnostic skills in areas of psychological phology and psychosocial dynamics. Skill in program development, teaching and counseling. Knowledge of legal informion pertaining to family relionships and laws protecting children and elders, as well as professional ethics of marriage. group, family and child counseling.
