Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dental Patient Coordinator. As a Dental Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Dental office and providing excellent customer service to our patients. If you have a strong background in Dental records, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, sending pre-Determinations, able to read EOB's, confirming appointments, checking in and out patients, maintaining the schedule, along with exceptional communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
  • Collect patient information and update electronic dental records
  • Assist with dental coding and billing processes
  • Coordinate referrals to other dental providers as needed
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure efficient patient care
  • Collect and post co-pays
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in dental terminology and dental billing procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with Dentrix
  • Knowledge of dental collection processes is a plus
