Job Description

Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced •Patient Care Coordinator•. Minimum of 1 year of experience required. This is a
FULL TIME/TEMPORARY
position (expected to be a 6-12 week assignment) to cover for an extended FMLA leave. The shift could vary (8.5 hours per day including lunch) but earliest start would be 7:30AM and the latest leave time would be 5PM. Ex. 7:30AM - 4, 8:00AM-4:30 or 8:30 to 5PM. We like to keep this flexible in case there is a need to shift the schedule due to call outs or vacations. Located in Suffolk, VA 23435.

Patient Care Coordinator:
The Medical Patient Service Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors in a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for coordinating patient services, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, verifying insurance information, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment. Greet and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare providers in a professional and courteous manner Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and demographic information Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Process patient check-in and check-out procedures Collect co-pays, balances, and other patient payments Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments as needed Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient scheduling and concerns Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies Assist with administrative duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry Resolve patient concerns and provide exceptional customer service Requirements for the

1+ years of experience in a medical front desk role

Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment

$18.00-$20.00 an hour (depending on experience level) Weekly Pay
