Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Virginia Hearing Consultants - 5.0 Virginia Beach, VA Job Details Full-time $20 - $24 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Excel Medical receptionist Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and proactive Patient Care Coordinator to join our practice. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for patients and will support the provider in delivering seamless, efficient, and compassionate care. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities, and skilled at navigating challenges independently while maintaining professionalism and neutrality.
Key Responsibilities Patient Communication:
Answer incoming phone calls and return messages promptly. Schedule and confirm patient appointments with attention to detail and efficiency. Provide clear and courteous communication with patients, ensuring an exceptional experience at every touchpoint.
Hearing Aid Coordination:
Manage all incoming and outgoing hearing aid shipments, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation. Oversee the loaner program, including follow-ups with patients using temporary devices. Coordinate repairs and exchanges with manufacturers as needed.
Administrative Support:
Handle daily mail, deliveries, and correspondence. Maintain accurate and organized patient records, forms, and documentation. Support the provider by anticipating needs and ensuring all materials, equipment, and schedules are properly prepared.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
Identify and resolve patient or logistical issues independently when possible, escalating only when appropriate. Use sound judgment to balance patient needs with the realities and priorities of the practice.
Professionalism & Neutrality:
Maintain composure and impartiality in all patient interactions. Manage emotional boundaries and approach each situation with empathy, professionalism, and respect. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical, audiology, or hearing care setting preferred. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills—both verbal and written. Ability to problem-solve independently while following established practice protocols. Proficient with scheduling systems, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office or similar software. High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail. Attributes for Success Calm and neutral under pressure. Naturally organized and self-directed. Adaptable to changing priorities and multiple moving parts. Committed to providing high-quality service to both patients and the provider.
