Snapshot of Daily Duties Assure that the stated mission of excellent care delivery of the endoscopy unit is as safe, efficient, and effective as possible. Responsible for schedules and staffing of endoscopy unit as well as recruitment, training and development, supervision, education, and evaluation of personnel. Responsible for activities surrounding patient confidentiality, POAs, emergency notification, etc. Gather information and participate in endoscopy committee and CQI committee meeting. Assures endoscopy unit complies with guidelines set forth by AAAHC and Medicare to maintain licensure, certification, and accreditation. Assure supplies and equipment are maintained as needed for the endoscopy unit. Coordinate all endoscopy center physician and employee schedules. Identify when an employee requires counseling and corrective action and conducts such counseling sessions in a timely fashion accompanied by the correct documentation. Establish and enforce policies and procedures for the center. The Must Haves High School Diploma or equivalent required. Registered Nurse license required. Experience in gastrointestinal endoscopy is a plus. Previous leadership experience required. Membership in local, state, and national professional societies is encouraged. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification required. Understands complexities of supervising many employees; ability to effectively communicate; ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks, understands the balance of physician demands and unit efficiencies.
