Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic RN Manager for Patient Care Services in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, extensive clinical expertise, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. This role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes excellence in patient outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise nursing staff within the acute care environment, including medical-surgical units, ICU, and emergency departments. Develop staffing schedules, manage resource allocation, and oversee patient care delivery to ensure safety and quality standards are met. Implement policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements such as
HIPAA, NCQA
standards, and hospital protocols. Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration for comprehensive discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes. Oversee clinical documentation accuracy using EMR systems such as Cerner or Epic while ensuring compliance with medical terminology and ICD coding standards. Promote ongoing staff education on topics including infection control, sterile processing, airway management, and advanced life support techniques. Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development, accountability, and high morale among nursing personnel. Skills Extensive experience in acute care settings including ICU, emergency medicine, or Level I Trauma Centers with familiarity in Level II trauma center protocols. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, or Athenahealth; strong understanding of medical documentation practices. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in nursing management roles. In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Competence in patient assessment skills including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and tube feeding management. Expertise in specialized areas such as dialysis care, dementia care (Alzheimer's/memory care), behavioral health, pediatric (including PICU), neonatal ventilator management, or geriatrics is highly desirable. Ability to manage complex cases involving medication administration (including IV infusion), catheterization procedures (including Foley catheters), venipuncture (phlebotomy), suturing techniques, and sterile aseptic techniques.
