About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced healthcare leader to oversee Surgical Services within a high-performing Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role is responsible for leading daily department operations, supporting clinical excellence, driving operational efficiency, and developing a strong, engaged surgical services team. Working closely with physicians, clinical leadership, and operations leadership, the Manager of Surgical Services will ensure exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, effective staffing, and a positive workplace culture. This position is ideal for a leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and creating an exceptional experience for both patients and providers. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Provide leadership and oversight for Surgical Services staff and daily department operations. Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee development. Partner with physicians and leadership to optimize OR utilization, patient flow, and operational efficiency. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, patient safety, and service excellence. Serve as a key liaison between clinical staff, providers, and organizational leadership. Quality & Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and infection prevention efforts. Participate in incident review, patient grievance follow-up, and performance improvement activities. Maintain department policies and procedures in alignment with current standards and best practices. Resource Management Monitor departmental resources, supplies, and equipment needs. Partner with operations and procurement teams to support inventory management and cost-effective purchasing practices. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflows, and overall department performance. Qualifications Active RN license in Vermont. 3+ years of perioperative, surgical services, or ASC experience. Prior leadership experience in a surgical or ambulatory surgery setting required. CNOR certification preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and quality improvement principles. Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and build strong physician and staff relationships. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Why Join Us?
