Day Shift Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention.
Pay range:
Hourly$22.22 - $33.33 If selected, you'll provide exemplary customer service for Imaging patients and visitors to the hospital. You'll interview patients to gather complete demographic and financial data needed to complete the registration process accurately, efficiently and promptly. You'll also collect appropriate payments, obtain required signatures, and notify patients/guests of hospital regulations, policies and services. Part-time / Days 0.5 FTE - Saturday 0730-1800, Sunday 0900-1930
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance and customer relations is a plus. Previous admission/registration experience or previous physician office, hospital or other frontline customer contact experience in a business setting. Demonstrated customer service skills required. Exceptional interpersonal skills to interview, educate and advise patients of hospital policies and the professionalism to positively interact with other Overlake personnel are required. Outstanding professionalism, poise and tact in appearance, manner and personality. Knowledge of the financial requirements of insurances, HMO and PPO organizations and state and federal programs. Must be articulate and skilled in teaching patients how to access the healthcare system. Ability to type 50 WPM and use 10-key accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital processes required. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must have the ability to work in a fast paced area, where the performance and concentration of several tasks may be required simultaneously. Why join Overlake?
