This role involves close collaboration with CTC leadership, unit staff, external referral agencies, and other internal departments to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the unit and delivery of clinical excellence. The Crisis Clinical Lead MHP improves the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission, and provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.Worksite Location:
On-Site 100%General Summary of Duties:
Work closely with the Crisis Intake MHP, Mental Health Care Providers (MHCP), Crisis Care Coordinators, and Certified Peer Counselor and any other relevant internal or external providers to organize a cohesive, individualized stabilization plan reflect unmet behavioral health needs and how the CTC can help meet those needs. Participate collaboratively with the CTC team. Act as an advocate for the psychiatric and social needs of the client. If appropriate, liaise and consult with the client's medical provider and outpatient team in the development of stabilization plans. Be available to CTC staff as a source for clinical practice and mental health resources. Offer short-term therapeutic services, including crisis intervention, brief intervention therapy and group therapy, risk assessments, and assessing for a higher level of care as needed. In collaboration with MHPs, MHCPs, Crisis Care Coordinators, and Certified Peer Counselors, develop discharge care plans for clients including arrangement and documentation of any follow up appointments and referrals for ongoing care and safety planning If appropriately licensed and/or supervised, complete substance use disorder (SUD) assessments and referrals to treatment Lead and provide clinical oversight and guidance to the CTC multidisciplinary team during each shift. Provide coverage for Crisis Intake MHP position: Receive, screen, process, and triage referrals for prospective intakes and coordinate with referral sources throughout this process. Take calls from local EMS to collaborate on and support field start buprenorphine and bridge to care services through CTC. Complete CTC intakes, including screening and assessing for safety, risk and level of care needs, developing a Crisis Stabilization Plan, initiating referrals for goals determined during intake, and determining a provisional diagnosis for clients coming into the care of CTC. Include relevant data from the client's history and any available collateral information. Maintain and submit records and documentation to meet the regulatory, agency and funding source requirements. Lead and contribute to a multidisciplinary team, providing consultation and evidence-based guidance to staff. Monitor client and staff safety, implementing interventions as needed. Review CTC policies and procedures to contribute to operational improvements and engage in program enhancements. Model trauma-informed care, professionalism, and effective client interventions. Ensure HIPAA compliance and complete required training. In addition to the above, any other responsibilities appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.Supervisory Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Services, or behavioral health fieldEXPERIENCE
Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience). Two years of postgraduate, documented, supervised clinical experience with the chronically mentally ill, co-occurring mental health and SUD, and substance use- related disorders.LICENSURE
Ability to obtain or currently possess a Washington State associate or independent clinical license (LICSW-A, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT). Alternatively, must meet and maintain the definition of a Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC) as defined inRCW 18.19.215.
Must maintain a Washington State Department of Health license in good standing.Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
Specialist (5 years of job-related experience). Experience in crisis work, inclusive of inpatient settings, crisis residential settings or crisis outreach teams. Experience in risks assessment and crisis intervention. Experience with completing SUD assessments. Experience with crisis models of care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and co-occurring substance use disorders Experience in leadership roles and the supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff.LICENSURE
Currently possess a Washington State independent clinical license ( LMHC, LICSW, LMFT, LAAC). Must maintain a Washington State Department of Health license in good standing. Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional, Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee Licensure, or Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist enhancement.Performance Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE
Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health, including health care reform and automation of job tasks using computer technology. Experience with the theory and practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and co-occurring substance use disordersSKILLS:
Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills. Communication - Communicates clearly and concisely. Computer skills - The ability to operate a personal computer, fax machine, printer, and copier proficiently.ABILITIES
