Job Description The UW Medical Center•Northwest Heart Institute has an outstanding opportunity for a Health Services Manager to join their team.
POSITION PURPOSE
Under the leadership of the Associate Director, the Health Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the Cardiology Clinic and the Cardiac Rehab department. This role provides leadership in the organization, coordination, and strategic planning of clinical services to ensure efficient operations, exceptional patient care, and achievement of departmental goals. This role oversees staff that support the NW Echo and Cardiac Nuclear Medicine departments and is crucial to the operations within those areas.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs and coordinates the daily operations of the Cardiology Clinic and associated departments (including offsite locations) to ensure efficient patient access, high-quality care delivery, and adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and patient safety standards. Oversees clinic workflows, patient scheduling, provider templates, referral management, diagnostic testing coordination, and patient throughput to optimize access and operational performance. Monitors clinic volumes, patient flow, capacity utilization, and key performance metrics; identifies operational challenges and implements solutions to improve efficiency and patient experience. Maintains required operational, regulatory, and quality records; demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills. Serves as a patient advocate by promoting patient-centered care and ensuring adherence to patient rights, privacy, and service standards. Supervises clinic staff and supports providers to ensure evidence-based cardiovascular care, quality improvement initiatives, and best practices are integrated into clinic operations. Collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, diagnostic services, and ancillary departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care across the cardiovascular continuum. Provides leadership in communicating, implementing, and achieving departmental, organizational, and strategic goals. Leads and supports quality improvement, patient safety, access, and workflow optimization initiatives utilizing process improvement methodologies and organizational resources. Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, corrective action, and termination recommendations for clinic staff. Assists in the development, implementation, and management of the clinic operating budget. Monitors revenue cycle performance, productivity metrics, staffing expenses, supply costs, and capital expenditures to support fiscal stewardship Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, accreditation, and organizational regulations, policies, and standards. Maintains oversight of clinical documentation, coding support processes, quality reporting requirements, and regulatory readiness activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Business Administration, Nursing, Health Administration, or related field 4+ years of progressive experience in a healthcare environment, including leadership and healthcare management responsibilities. Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and administrative teams. Demonstrated success in managing clinic financial performance, including budgeting, productivity monitoring, revenue optimization, and expense management.
