AsaSiteCoordinator,youaretheoneintheschoolwhonoticesneeds,providesopportunities,andsupportstudentsinreceivingtargetedsupport.

Youhavetheflexibilitytouseyourownskillsetandtocollaboratewithover20partneragenciestofillgapsinservice,equippingyoungpeopletosucceed.

CoreResponsibilities:
Workcloselywithschooladministrators,staff,andteacherstocoordinateateamapproachtoaddressingthesocial,emotionalandresourceneedsofstudentstoempowerthemtobuildontheirstrengths. AssesscurrentstudentneedsandemergingtrendswiththeteamtodevelopanannualCISschoolsupportplanwithmeasurableobjectives,strategiesfordeliveringandmonitoringschool-wideandtargetedservicesandevaluatingandreportingeffectiveness. Leadandcoordinatesupportplanstrategiestodeliverevidence-based,widelyaccessibleschoolwideandtargetedservicesforstudentsidentifiedashighriskofdroppingout. Provideand/orcoordinateindividualorgroupinterventionsforyouthimpactedbyissuessuchassubstanceabuse,mentalorphysicalhealthconcerns,truancyissuesorinvolvedinfostercareorthejuvenilecourtsystem. Buildandmaintaincurrentcommunitypartnershipstofacilitateaccessandsecureresourcesandsupporttomeetidentifiedneeds. Coordinateservicedeliveryandactivitiesandserveasacommunicationconduitwithcollaboratingagenciestogather/exchangeinformation. Serveasacommunityresourcetotheschoolandstaffbysharinginformationandsupportingschool-wideactivitiessuchasschoolorientations,openhouses,andparentevents. Evaluatetheeffectivenessofschool-wideandtargetedstrategiesthroughasystematicdatacollectionprocess,andenterallnecessaryinfo/dataintoCISDM. WorktomaintainapositiveimagebyunderstandinganddemonstratingtheCISmission,goalsandinitiativeswithintheschoolandcommunity. SupportCISresourcedevelopmentandcommunicationsstrategiesbyprovidingcontentforgrantproposals,marketingopportunitiesandhostingsitevisitsasrequested.
RequiredQualifications:
Acollegedegreeand/or2-3yearsofeducationaloryouthdevelopmentexperienceworkingwithat-riskyouthand/orteachingelementary,middle,orhighschoolstudents. Strongrelationship-buildingskills,particularlywithdisengagedyouthandtheirfamilies. Abilitytoestablishandmaintaineffectiveworkingrelationshipswithschools,students,parents,communityrepresentativesandthepublic. Abilitytoworkwithpeopleofdiverseculturalandsocio-economicbackgrounds. Resourceful-abletoidentifymultiplesolutionstopresentingissues. Excellentfacilitationskills.

Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskills. Strongorganizationalskillsandabilitytomanagecompetingpriorities. Abilitytoworkbothindependentlyandaspartofateam. BasiccomputerskillsandworkingknowledgeofMicrosoftOffice. ValidWashingtonstatedriver'slicense,accesstoreliabletransportationandproofofadequatevehicleinsurancecoverage. Abilitytolift25lbs.onanoccasionalbasis. Mustpassacriminalbackgroundcheck.
DesiredQualifications:
Experienceineducation,socialservices,counseling,juvenilejustice,orrelatedfield. Familiaritywithlocalcommunityagenciesandsocialservicesystems. Representadiversecommunity. BilingualinSpanish. Experiencewithdropoutprevention,intervention,orreengagementstrategies. Knowledgeofcommunity-basedsubstanceabuseandmentalhealthassessment/treatmentoptions. AdvancedCPR/FirstAidTraining.
